Michele Rafeld, MS, RD

Culinary Nutritionist/Staff Dietitian


Michele Rafeld is a Registered Dietitian and culinary nutritionist.  Michele had a passion for cooking since she was a child and prepared dinners for her family when she was only nine years old. 

After graduating from The University of Maryland with an undergraduate degree in Communications, she enrolled in the Natural Gourmet Institute where she completed both the Chef Training and Food Therapy Program.

Michele holds a Masters of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University and completed her Dietetic Internship at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center, part of the North Shore LIJ Health System.

Michele uses her strong foundation of nutrition science coupled with her extensive culinary background to help clients with their recovery process. Her ability to connect compassionately with her patients at intensive,outpatient and group formats has been a welcomed addition to our Integrated Eating team. In addition, Michele has been invited to speak at NYC schools students and educate on nutrition, fad dieting, eating disorders body image. Michele believes that food tastes best when it is in its most whole form and is excited to help clients reconnect with food.
